R.I.P. Walter Cronkite

The Most Trusted Man In America

The Most Trusted Man In America

Walter Cronkite looked into the eye of the CBS camera, told you what was going on, and you believed him. He informed you, alerted you, consoled you, challenged you, and never once in all those years did you ever feel like there was a filter, an agenda, or an attitude. “Uncle Walter” just called it like he saw it.  And that’s the way it was.

Walter Cronkite, dead at 92. And that’s the way it is, July 17, 2009.

Good night.
